house of the week 89:Hill residence
The Hill residence is located on a wooded site adjacent to a natural lake in Texas. The house was created to work with nature and the architects - Japanese practice Studio Loop used a natural palette for the ceilings and floors to produce a home without losing that relationship with the outdoors.

VMX architects were awarded a controversial first prize in a competition commissioned by the municipality of Utrecht. The mixed programme that combines a central library, a cinema, arts centre and 120 apartments.

French architects LAN architecture have won a competition to design an office building for Sogeprom/Projectim in Lille, France. The project is part of the Euralille urban developement designed by OMA in 1994.

house of the week 88: Mill house
Located in south Sweden near the city of Malmö, the Mill house is annexed to a old farm house. Designed by Scandinavian practice Wingårdhs architects, the vacation house was built to celebrate the ritual of sauna and bathing.
house of the week 87: Ijburg House
A 285m² villa on the island of IJburg, Amsterdam designed by Gabriëls Webb architects. The clients, a family of four required a house that provided opportunities for living together but also independently. The house is spread over three levels that are demarcated on the façade with horizontal white bands and red cedar boards on the volume.

Interiors : Bar Basque
Bar Basque is the new restaurant located at the boutique hotel Eventi in Chelsea New York designed by Syd Mead, the visionary designer behind such iconic sci-fi films as Blade Runner, Aliens, and Tron along with Philip Koether architects. Designed for 40 guests with a view of the open kitchen, it also has a larger glass-enclosed lounge that doubles as an outdoor terrace with a retractable roof.
